• Attended Burien Pride!

Supporting Pride events is about standing in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community and recognizing the ongoing fight for equality, dignity, and safety. These events are more than celebrations. They are acts of visibility, resistance, and resilience. As a candidate committed to equity and inclusion, I believe our city thrives when every person feels seen, valued, and protected. Pride reminds us of the progress we have made and the work that remains. I am proud to support Pride and will continue advocating for policies that uplift and protect all members of our community.

  • Went to Amara Fundraiser

I was invited to the Amara fundraising event to help spread awareness and raise money to support the on going efforts of supporting the foster care and adoption systems throughout Washington. Young people become involved with the foster care system for many reasons, and they deserve a community that see’s them and rallies together to improve their situation.

  • Research and Cultural Immersion India

While leading a training series in India on mental and behavioral health, I had the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with local providers to better understand how culture shapes care. This experience strengthened my ability to deliver culturally responsive services and deepened my awareness of global approaches to mental health. It reinforced my commitment to ensuring that residents in Washington, especially in immigrant and BIPOC communities, receive care that honors their lived experiences. I will bring this perspective to the Kent City Council to help build a city where all cultures and communities are seen, heard, and supported.

  • Research and Cultural Immersion China

During my immersive experience and research in China, I had the opportunity to engage deeply with communities, study cultural systems firsthand, and reflect on how policy impacts everyday life across different perspectives. That experience reinforced my belief that true leadership starts with listening to those whose voices are too often left out. My work abroad strengthened my commitment to equity, cultural humility, and inclusive decision-making. I’ll bring that same global awareness and respect for diverse lived experiences to my service on the Kent City Council.

  • Asian Heritage Celebration at the WA State Capital

I was recently honored to be invited to the Washington State Asian Heritage Celebration, where I had the chance to connect with inspiring API leaders from across the state. Being in community with others who are breaking barriers and uplifting our shared heritage reminded me of the strength and resilience in our stories. It was a powerful reminder of why representation matters in public leadership. I’m committed to carrying those voices with me as I work to ensure Kent’s policies reflect the diversity and values of our API communities.
