During my immersive experience and research in China, I had the opportunity to engage deeply with communities, study cultural systems firsthand, and reflect on how policy impacts everyday life across different perspectives. That experience reinforced my belief that true leadership starts with listening to those whose voices are too often left out. My work abroad strengthened my commitment to equity, cultural humility, and inclusive decision-making. I’ll bring that same global awareness and respect for diverse lived experiences to my service on the Kent City Council.
