I was recently honored to be invited to the Washington State Asian Heritage Celebration, where I had the chance to connect with inspiring API leaders from across the state. Being in community with others who are breaking barriers and uplifting our shared heritage reminded me of the strength and resilience in our stories. It was a powerful reminder of why representation matters in public leadership. I’m committed to carrying those voices with me as I work to ensure Kent’s policies reflect the diversity and values of our API communities.
